
These students spent their day off learning about the in's and out's of babysitting. From learning how to be an assertive leader to recognizing childhood stages and behaviors, participants obtained necessary childcare skills to help families and their community!

Students will work in teams of 3-4 to read 15 book titles across three lists and Individual students will be responsible for reading 5 books. The students will discuss the books, asks questions, and prepare for the "game show" battle of the books in May!

This camp will focus on the fundamentals of soccer in a recreational, fun, and inclusive environment. Coaches will guide players through a variety of games and drills to increase skill level and sportsmanship of all players!

Babysitting not only helps grow people skills, but it also develops skills that go beyond child care! Come join us next Friday for our babysitter training course! Beginner babysitters will gather necessary advice and tips for caring for kids of all ages. Throughout this course, students will train for real life situations through fun and interactive exercises, and they will learn essential leadership skills, as well as, safety prevention and emergency action.

Hermantown's Rawket Science club spent their time last week learning about Human Anatomy, specifically about muscles, tendons, and joints. At the end, students even created their own hand craft that replicated how our fingers are able to bend and move!

Wood carving/whittling is an excellent hobby and there is a strong, generous and vibrant carving community in the area. Hone your skills to create wonderful gifts for friends and family. Learn the science of winter weather from meteorologists at the National Weather Service! This class will cover winter weather safety and how meteorologists forecast winter weather, from a "Colorado Low" to the science of lake effect snow. Measurement of snow is of critical importance to the National Weather Service, and this class will also include tips on how to properly measure snow, and ice, and even how to do a "snow core" to measure the water content of the snowpack.
